My question to you today is:
How does a healthy lifestyle, eating and exercising, fit into your identity? In other words, is healthy eating and exercising, part of who you are?
Identity is defined as who and what you are. When healthy eating and exercising become part of your identity, action (doing/you take action) follows, by making sure I eat healthy because I want be healthy and I exercise to stay mobile. So how do these things become part of my identity?
Ask yourself: what is my motive for trying to eat and exercise healthy?
Is it because I want to do it for weight loss? Or is it because I still want to be able to move at 65? Or that I no longer want to struggle each morning to get out of bed due to joints that are stiff, immobility or pain? Or that I am fed up with being out of breathe every day?
What is my motive for eating / wanting to eat healthy?
Is it because I want to lose weight? Or is it because I don’t want to have a heart attack at 40? Or that I no longer want sore joints due to gout? Or that I want enough energy daily? Or that I want a lower count in my cholesterol levels, etc?
Change your motive in 2020, as to why you want to exercise and eat healthy so that it becomes part of your identity for until the day you die and go to our Heavenly Father, God, Maker of heaven & earth, in Heaven.
